The idea for Millo One was born out of necessity. Ruslanas, a dedicated runner, was frustrated by the noise his blender made during his early morning smoothie routine. The solution? A blender that utilizes a patented Magnetic Air Drive, inspired by his daughter's magnetic toy, which allows for a contactless transfer of torque from the base to the blades. The result is a blender that is not only the quietest on the market but also easy to clean and portable.
Millo One's minimalist design is a nod to Scandinavian aesthetics, combining the circle, a symbol of security and integrity, with the closed ring, embodying energy and balance. The materials used, anodised aluminum and BPA-free Tritan plastic, reflect a commitment to sustainability and timeless form. The blender is composed of three elements: a base, a cup, and a blending lid, all designed with portability and convenience in mind.
But Millo One is more than just a blender. It's a foodtech gadget designed to integrate better nutrition into busy lifestyles. Its intuitive touch-sensitive base and accompanying app make it easy and enjoyable to use. As a cordless device with a portable cup, it allows for blending anytime, anywhere. With few moving parts and a simple design, cleaning is a breeze.
The design journey of Millo One began in Lithuania in 2016, with the first batch of blenders expected to roll off the locally-based production line in the first half of 2020. The design process involved extensive research into modern aesthetic directions, testing of numerous existing blenders, and overcoming the challenge of incorporating complex electronics and mechanisms into a minimalist design.
The Millo One blender is a testament to the power of innovative design and technology. It has been recognized with the Golden A' Home Appliances Design Award in 2020, a prestigious accolade granted to outstanding creations that advance art, science, design, and technology. With its unique features and sleek design, the Millo One blender is set to redefine our expectations of kitchen appliances.
